We are recruiting Research Assistants at multiple levels!
The Brunger Lab at Vanderbilt University seeks candidates to fill Senior Research Assistant and Research Assistant positions. The lab is particularly interested in developing and deploying synthetic biology tools to control stem cells for regenerative engineering and in vitro disease modeling. Projects include development of stem cell-based therapeutics for musculoskeletal, autoimmune, and neurodegenerative diseases; creation of high fidelity models of neurodegenerative diseases via gene editing and rewired signaling modules in pluripotent stem cells; and engineering cells to interface with biomaterials through artificial gene circuits.
The applicant must have a B.S. or higher degree in bioengineering/biomedical engineering or the biomedical sciences. The candidate should have experience with animal handling: additional experience with cell culture, molecular biology, flow cytometry, and fluorescent microscopy would be an asset. The ideal candidate will be prepared to join our collaborative and diverse team to advance cell-based therapeutics.
Applicants should send contact Dr. Jonathan Brunger, Assistant Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering at jonathan.m.brunger@vanderbilt.edu
